To my fellow Angelenos, if you ever cross paths with Word Of Mouth Truck, do yourself a favor and give their sinfully delicious vegan comfort food a try!
It had been popping up on my social media feed for months. Even spotted it a few times in the NoHo Arts District, within blocks of my apartment. But it wasn’t until it was parked on the same side of the street, where I was walking home from the Metro station (no, I couldn’t be troubled to cross the width of Lankershim Blvd), that I finally stopped to order a Grilled Cheese sandwich. It was the best grilled cheese of my life!! And with a side of ranch for dipping… ooooh weee!
I immediately announced to my friends via text, “It was so melty and gooey, soft yet grilled to perfection with Follow Your Heart cheese and sourdough bread.” Ya, I was pretty excited to share the news.

Other goodies on the menu include Mac and Cheese Bites, Buffalo Cauliflower, Jalapeño Poppers, and French Fries that are also available buffalo ranch style. The Western Cheeseburger sounds phenomenal: sweet potato + black bean patty, Follow Your Heart American cheese, mushroom bacon, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. My next pick would be the Fried Chik’n Sandwich: fried cauliflower patty, iceberg, tomato, onion, butter pickle, and mayo. The spicy version adds Follow Your Heart pepper jack, habanero aioli, and pickled jalapeño. Yes, please!
Word of Mouth Truck keeps a fairly regular schedule. Wednesday through Saturday you can find them in Culver City, Hollywood, DTLA, or Highland Park. This Sunday the bright blue truck will be serving it up at Vegan Exchange in North Hollywood. Check ’em out!
