LEO LADIES LUNCHING

LOS ANGELES, CA
Happy birthday to me! My wish was quite simple…all the vegan food I could eat. And with Scarlett’s b-day only a few days away, she was the perfect person to share this vegan foodie adventure with. Stretchy pants, sunglasses, water? Check! Off we went to Smorgasburg LA, with high hopes and empty tummies.

I started with a breakfast burrito from one of LA’s favorites, Cena Vegan. Always struggling to choose just one option, I got both. Soy chorizo, tofu scramble, beans, salsa and guacamole. Yum! It was about 90 degrees outside and we were baking. We grabbed our grub and found a perfect, shaded table just beyond all of the food tents.

Smorgasburg takes place every Sunday at ROW DTLA, thirty acres of historic buildings in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Check out ROW’s event calendar for tons of cool and super unique happenings. I’m kicking myself right now for not doing just that before heading over there today. Jamie xx is headlining a music festival tonight…and I’m not there!! At the end of the month Bender LA is hosting a full moon yoga session on a rooftop overlooking the downtown skyline, with a DJ curating the evening’s sounds.

You know vegans are taking over the world when you walk up to the bar and you see “Vegan Available” on the menu board. A big thank you to I Love Micheladas for making us our very own drink. My mouth is watering thinking about the Tajin-covered rim and ice cold beer. Get one!

Now I know what all the hype is about. Two scoops of Afters Ice Cream vegan Choco Monster was not enough. It was rich and coconutty, with bits of Oreos, chocolate fudge and chocolate chip cookie. Uh-mazing! Afters has over 20 locations throughout California. So happy that their creamery on wheels joined the party.

I’ll be back Smorgasburg LA. I love you!
