Silk Oatmilk Creamer

A DELICIOUS NEW WAY TO WAKE UP

Over several peculiar months, dates and time have lost their meaning (something that was arbitrarily assigned to them anyway and blindly adopted by the masses). Just now, my vision slightly blurred from a night of deep sleep and hazy reading glasses, I read the date on the dock of my MacBook Pro as November 11. Briefly, I accepted it as accurate because who am I to know the difference of six months’ time when all other semblance of order in my life has been lost?

The morning is gloomy and I have no concrete obligations for the next 22 hours. I’m lying in a corner of my bed, taking pause from the musings of Cole Schafer; in particular, a recent reflection of his includes famous last words from several of my favorite artists: Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Frida Kahlo, Kurt Cobain, and Jane Austen.

Now, I could be doing a great number of other “responsible” activities, like cleaning my apartment, running to the bank for laundry money, or searching for a better paying part-time job. But what I want to do is write all day. That’s why I appreciate Cole, the stranger I oddly know so well… He has a knack for recognizing exceptional writers and thinkers and is obsessively committed to developing his own craft. He inspires me to do the same.

But first, coffee…

Annnnndd I’m back, from a brief, magical trip to my neighborhood Starbucks. In Los Angeles, most coffee shops are still only open for curbside pickup. Conveniently, this location has a drive-thru. I pulled up behind a gorgeous Maserati GranTurismo in Grigio Granito with a vanity plate naming the sports car model. Behind the wheel was a man with a closely cropped cut and frameless shades. I feel a pang of guilt at the thought of my initial impression of him. Because when it was my turn at the window, the barista handed me my grande black coffee and explained that the visitor before me had paid for my drink. I was stunned. Left without a chance to thank my thoughtful benefactor, I looked forward to telling you instead.

Once home, I grabbed my camera and a carton of plant-based milk from the fridge to shoot the header image—and roundabout purpose—for this post. Silk, the dairy-free hitmaker that brought us Vanilla Soy Creamer, is back with another banger: The Oatmeal Cookie One, a sinfully delicious oatmilk creamer.

Take your morning joe up a notch (or two) with the taste of sweet cinnamon and oats blended with creamy, craveable oatmilk creamer… smooth without the moo. And it foams, so you can froth like a boss at home.

Froth like a boss? I’m not quite sure what that means, but I suppose this caffeine and sugar high has me feelin’ a bit in charge from my bedroom office, with only Romeo and Cruz to command. 😉

Sharing is caring. 💜

  1. Hi Marissa,
    Good morning.
Yet again this is Raul the Website stalker.
As much as I like your passion for being Vegan, I have a passion for seeing successful people. Entrepreneurs. Just like you. Here’s my offer; I will become full vegan as long as we work together on your site.
Your are the boss, I’ll be assisting you since you’re very busy.
Let’s have a meeting to discuss.
