NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA
When the day comes that I have to move from my cute little apartment in the NoHo Arts District, Lotus Vegan will be what I miss most.
Romeo and I often walk here to share the Orange Chicken or Cowboy Burger (which I’m obsessed with, BTW). The staff is always sweet, the red velvet cupcakes amazing, and they deliver!
Cowboy Burger with avocado
Lotus Vegan’s menu is an eclectic and delicious mix of Thai, American, Chinese, and even Mexican-inspired items. I have loved every dish that I’ve tried, but the Cowboy Burger has a special place in my heart. The savory sandwich is made with a soy chicken patty grilled in a garlic-cilantro sauce. And, of course, I say ‘Yes’ to adding avocado. Sounds mouthwateringly good, right? It is.
Soup to Soothe Your Soul
On rare occasions, when the night’s temp falls below 60 and I want something deliciously comforting, the Tom Yum Vegetable Soup (featured image) is my go-to. I’ve never tasted one better. There are five levels of spiciness available; my weak *ss always goes with the ‘one’ on a scale of 1–5 chilis. 😄
Chicken & Pancakes
I’ve created a small fanbase among my friends and family, who are non-vegans but are always happy to come back with me for seconds. The cool thing about having someone join you is that you can get through the menu twice as fast.
This past weekend my friend Jacqueline and I had brunch here. We ordered a Breakfast Burrito and the Chicken & Pancakes, split ’em two ways, and chowed down. Uhhh-mazing! Every bit of it!
